Welcome to Wonderland

Staff Writer

May: a month when students are filled with excitement, knowing that summer is on its way. It is also a month that marks the coming of the annual Arts Night, presented by our very own SBA Arts Council.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Arts Night, or who have never been, it is an evening of fantastic student performances, all of which are centred around a particular creative theme. Throughout the evening, attendees will also be able to experience the artistic works of our creative SBA students, which will be on display and up for auction throughout the evening.

This makes it a particularly unique and memorable event.

IMG_6919This year’s theme, as you may have already found out from the lovely banner created by Arts Council members, is of course Alice in Wonderland.

Once you step through the ‘rabbit hole’ (AKA the doors to the atrium), your world will be transformed from simply an evening at school into a Mad Tea Party extravaganza! During the intermission, you can enjoy some Alice in Wonderland-themed treats, and even participate in the art auction.

The Arts Council, along with the art department, has worked hard to make this amazing event possible – it is definitely a night you will not want to miss!

Tickets will be on sale throughout this week, as well as leading up to the event, taking place on Thursday May 15th. Tickets are five dollars (seven dollars at the door) and doors open at 6:30pm.

See you then – And don’t be late!
